In summer 2027, we plan to launch an in-person camp for writers ages 13-15. This camp will offer teen writers an intensive workshop experience modeled on college-level courses. Each camper will submit a piece of writing for workshop, will learn to write critique letters, deliver feedback in person, receive feedback well, and make a plan for revisions. In addition to workshopping our pieces, we’ll discuss writing by contemporary authors as well as craft texts. This camp also includes a 1-on-1 conference with the workshop leader to discuss revisions, possible places to submit for publication, and other professional/creative opportunities to pursue outside of camp. If you’re an emerging writer interested in preparing for college creative writing classes and a career in writing and/or publishing, this is the camp for you.
