The Authors Academy is a virtual workshop for adult writers in the summer. The workshop usually takes place on three evenings within one week (from 5:30-7:30 CST). The cost is $125.

This creative writing class is for anyone interested in writing fiction, nonfiction, or poetry. Each session will consist of a craft talk and in-class writing prompts. Sharing work with fellow students will also be an option. You'll leave with ideas for sustaining your writing practice beyond the class. All levels welcome.

Dr. Olivia Clare Friedman leads the class. She is the author of four books, most recently a book of poems, An Arm Fixed to a Wing, from LSU Press. She is an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Writers (Creative Writing) at the University of Southern Mississippi.
